State departments of transportation (DOTs) are improving data management practices to meet the shift to performance-based management and the need for improved data quality, integration and interoperability, and accessibility and security. TRB hosted a webinar on Thursday, May 18, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM Eastern that shared effective strategies to quantify benefits and communicate the importance of data governance to leadership. Presenters highlighted three case studies of agencies at different stages of maturity in implementing solutions to address challenges, developing strategic directions, securing buy-in, and creating data governance frameworks and tools.
