October 3, 2023

12:00 PM - 1:30 PM (EDT)

Past

Impaired driving continues to be a prevalent behavior on our roadways, costing the lives of people and creating unique challenges for law enforcement. TRB hosted a webinar on Tuesday, October 3, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM Eastern that presented the societal perceptions of impaired driving and law enforcement, as well as discordance between attitudes, beliefs, and behaviors. Presenters dove into unique challenges faced by law enforcement and current tools and strategies used to address impaired driving.

This is the second of three webinars in a series on how the impaired driving paradigm is changing. The first webinar in the series, Safe System Approach to Substance Abuse, was held on Tuesday, September 12, 2023.

This webinar was sponsored by TRB’s Standing Technical Committee on Impairment in Transportation.
