Using Findings from Patient-Centered Outcomes Research in Clinical Practice
July 1 and 6
The third and fourth workshops in a series, these virtual events will explore potential ways to accelerate the use of patient-centered outcomes research (PCOR) findings in clinical practice to improve health and health care.

Tsunami Science: The View from Modeling and Observations
July 5
In this webinar, experts will survey state-of-the-art of tsunami science, an inherently multidisciplinary field that encompasses advanced hydrodynamics, data science and machine learning, geophysical modeling and field investigations, and more. In addition to research talks, panelists will have open discussion on what the future of this discipline might hold.

Early Interventions for Psychosis
July 11
This workshop will focus on early intervention for psychosis, examine the data on the epidemiology and outcomes for people at high risk for psychosis and for those who have experienced a first episode of psychosis, and consider ways to improve care for these individuals.

Automated Road Transportation Symposium
July 18-21
The symposium convenes leaders from industry, government, and research communities to collaborate on the opportunities and challenges associated with automating road transportation. Sessions will focus on how research can best enable progress on critical policy, operations, and safety issues in the near term.

Advancing Diagnostic Excellence for Older Adults
July 21
Part of a workshop series, this event will examine the current scientific landscape and research opportunities for improving diagnosis in older adults within the U.S. health care system.

Climate Conversations: Urban Transportation
July 21
As U.S. cities work to reduce emissions and support the mobility of all their residents, they are also navigating new transportation patterns at this stage of the COVID-19 pandemic and an influx of federal infrastructure funding. This month’s Climate Conversations event will focus on how planners and policymakers can support a transition to more equitable, lower-emissions urban transportation systems in this dynamic context.

Accelerating Decarbonization in the United States
July 26
Building on the recent series of decarbonization events, this workshop on equity and justice in the energy transition will include presentations from stakeholders and discussions on public health and safety, jobs and workforce, equitable access, and energy affordability.
