This project developed a call to action to advance science education in K-12 and post-secondary education designed to prepare students to face the global challenges of the future both as engaged participants in society and in their careers. It used what we know from research about how people learn, to make recommendations for state and federal policy makers on ways to support equitable, productive pathways for all students to thrive and have opportunities to pursue careers that build on scientific skills and concepts.
Follow on activities include workshops on alliance formation, opportunity mapping, and toolkits for outreach.
