Earth observations are essential to understanding Earth systems and addressing global challenges. With associated data, repositories, and products, they drive innovation, support U.S. economic and national security, and inform a range of actions from wildfire response to agricultural forecasting. Yet, collecting, analyzing, and managing these data have become increasingly complex from rapid technological innovation, growing data volume, and need for structured use in advanced applications, while standards and governance frameworks struggle to keep pace. This activity will convene Earth data users and practitioners to explore the evolving landscape, promote data stewardship, and identify actions to improve long-term coordination and management.
