Description
An ad hoc committee will be formed to assess the current state of software sustainment in USAF from the perspective of software as a weapon system. Specifically, the committee will:

Assess how software that is embedded within weapon platforms is currently sustained within the USAF.

Identify the unique requirements of software sustainment and determine how and at what point software maintenance sustainment related activities should be integrated into the program.

Develop and recommend a software sustainment work breakdown structure

Identify the necessary personnel skill sets and core competencies for software sustainment.
