Review of Methods for Setting Building and Equipment Performance Standards

This project will consider the methods the U.S. Department of Energy uses to analyze the impact of the standards regulations it issues governing aspects of residential and commercial buildings . The regulations set minimum energy conservation standards or maxiumum water use or maximum energy use standards. These regulations apply to appliances and equipment and the performance of the building itself. An expert committee of up to 10 persons is being assembled to conduct the study.
