This series of workshop sessions will identify and investigate human and organizational risk factors in AI systems. The hope of this work is to build off of the recently published "AI Risk Management Framework" from the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) with a deeper exploration into human factors of AI risks.

Session 4, a reflection on the 3 sessions, will be held in person on July 2nd. The members of the planning committee will discuss findings and thoughts regarding the factors that were investigated.

This series of workshop sessions will identify and investigate human and organizational risk factors in AI systems. The hope of this work is to build off of the recently published "AI Risk Management Framework" from the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) with a deeper exploration into human factors of AI risks.

“Safety in Context: Culture, Processes, and Frameworks” will be hosted virtually on June 26th starting at 10:30 am ET. The speakers will discuss defining who might be impacted by AI tools, setting meaningful metrics when designing tools, and existing organizational safety frameworks in an array of industries.

“Broadening Stakeholder Participation” will be hosted virtually on June 11th starting at 10:30 am ET. The speakers will discuss a variety of stakeholders and how they might be meaningfully engaged with. We will highlight identifying and engaging with diverse stakeholders effectively, addressing how work changes in light of AI and the work that goes into developing AI, and building long-term relationships, trust, and accountability.
