How has COVID-19 affected Department of Defense materials and manufacturing capabilities, and what does this mean for future workforce needs? The National Academies invites you to explore Materials Science and Engineering in a Post-Pandemic World as part of a three-day virtual public workshop.

Workshop topics will include 1) how COVID-19 is impacting and is expected to impact DOD materials and manufacturing capabilities; 2) how the current materials and manufacturing workforce is affected; 3) efforts being considered to address future DOD materials and manufacturing needs; and 4) the future of the DOD workforce pipeline.
