Description
An ad hoc committee will plan and conduct a one-day public workshop that will feature invited presentations and discussion of the role and challenges regarding clarity of communication on medication. Potential areas of focus include use of health literacy principles to address clarity of materials, decision aids, and other supportive tools and technologies regarding risks, benefits, alternatives, and health plan coverage. The committee will define the specific topics to be addressed, develop the agenda, select and invite speakers and other participants, and moderate the discussions. A summary of the presentations and discussion at the workshop and a workshop proceedings in brief will be prepared by a designated rapporteur in accordance with institutional guidelines.
