The National Cancer Policy Forum hosted a public workshop addressing patient-centered cancer treatment planning, focusing on treatment planning for newly-diagnosed cancer patients. Discussions in the cancer care planning process are often siloed, which impedes the holistic approach necessary for coordinated and comprehensive cancer care. The workshop discussed the need to integrate the patient perspective and highlighted best practices in cancer care planning.
