Incorporating Weight Management and Physical Activity into Cancer Treatment--Overcoming Barriers in the Delivery of Care: A Workshop

The National Cancer Policy Forum convened a workshop to examine the potential for weight management and physical activity interventions to improve health outcomes for cancer survivors. The workshop highlighted the current evidence base, gaps in knowledge, and research needs on the associations among obesity, physical activity, weight management, and health outcomes for cancer survivors. Workshop sessions also examined the effectiveness of interventions for promoting physical activity and weight management among people living with or beyond cancer, as well as the challenges and opportunities to improve the implementation of these lifestyle interventions.
