An ad hoc committee will examine the status of defense research at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) and other Minority Institutions (MIs) and the methods and means necessary to advance research capacity at those institutions to address the national security and defense needs of the United States. Defense research includes research funded by the Department of Defense (DOD) under section 2362 of title 10, United State Code.
The study will result in a final report, including findings and recommendations.
