The worshop will explore the role of the Manufacturing USA initiative, which is intended to create partnerships among industry, academia, and government that leverage existing resources and facilitate collaboration and co-investment to nurture manufacturing innovation, accelerate commercialization, and foster a skilled manufacturing workforce. Workshop speakers will examine external reviews of the ManufacturingUSA Institutes to help provide new information and insight into the role and performance of the institutes; address the contributions of the institutes to workforce, economic development, and enhance domestic manufacturing and international competitiveness; describe how other nations are supporting advanced manufacturing; and discuss potential U.S. priorities and policies for action.
