Description
An ad hoc committee under the auspices of the Forum on Synthetic Biology of the Committee on Science, Technology, and Law (STL) will convene, in conjunction with a meeting of the forum, a 1 and 1/2 day workshop to discuss current trends in synthetic biology. The workshop will pay particular attention to international scientific and technical developments in synthetic biology, potential developments, possible risks and benefits related to these developments, and legal, regulatory, and policy concerns. A brief rapporteur-authored workshop summary will be published.
