Intelligent Construction Systems and Technology for Highways: Program Review

This project will provide an ongoing program review of the Federal Highway Administration’s (FHWA’s) current and future activities related to the conduct and operation of lntelligent Construction Systems and Technology (ICST). The committee will advise FHWA and the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) on program development and will facilitate coordination and communication among ICST researchers and practitioners.

The committee shall:

· Assess the conduct and progress of ICST program coordination, communication, and related activities and provide advice to FHWA and AASHTO concerning the program’s conduct and progress;

· Through its semi-annual meetings, provide a forum and mechanism for

o discussing the development and delivery of technologies for the ICST program;

o identifying and assessing the implications of the deployment of products to the states, industry, academia, and others; and

o maintaining technical liaison with appropriate agency, industry, and academic contacts to insure interests and concerns related to the ICST program are conveyed to the FHWA and AASHTO.
