International Forum on Responsible Bioeconomy Innovation
Building on recent efforts by the United States and India toward the development of the bio-economy and biomanufacturing, the National Academies is establishing an international forum on the bioeconomy jointly with Indian partners. The Forum will engage diverse experts from industry, government, and academia with expertise across various sectors to address global bioeconomy challenges, emphasizing responsible innovation and best practices while fostering R&D. On 2/26/2025, the U.S. Department of State informed the National Academy of Sciences that it should terminate all work on this activity. This activity has ended, and a final product was not released.
