Maintaining resilient supply chains ensures that essential goods arrive when and where they’re needed, even in the face of disruption. New advances in the mathematical sciences hold the key to optimizing these critical supply chains while reducing waste and costs.

Join the National Academies on Tuesday, August 12 from 2pm to 3pm ET for a webinar on creating more resilient supply chains using the latest insights from the mathematical sciences. Speakers Emily Tucker (Clemson University) and Jennifer Pazour (Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute) will discuss their work on optimizing supply chains, including ways to address drug shortages, improve military logistics, and leverage on-demand manufacturing. Jordan Ellenberg (University of Wisconsin–Madison) will moderate the discussion.

This event is designed for policymakers and professionals without a technical background, and questions are encouraged.
