Workshop on Health and Disability among Working-Age Adults: Trends, Disparities, and Implications for Employment and Federal Programs

A committee-supported project or activity that has been completed and for which output dissemination has begun. Its committee has been disbanded and closeout procedures are underway.

The Committee on Population of the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine will conduct a two-day public workshop on trends and disparities in disability and disabling morbidity among the working-age population (ages 25-64), sources and social/economic factors influencing these trends, and implications for employment and public programs. Following the workshop, proceedings summarizing the presentations and discussions at the workshop will be prepared by a designated rapporteur in accordance with institutional guidelines.
