The Gilbert W. Beebe Webinars are organized by Nuclear and Radiation Studies Board members and staff and are designed to promote discussions on ionizing and non-ionizing radiation health effects. The webinar series is an extension to the Gilbert W. Beebe Symposium established in 2002 to honor the scientific achievements of the late Dr. Gilbert W. Dr. Beebe was one of the designers and key implementers of the epidemiologic studies of populations exposed to the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki and the Chernobyl accident.
