Flying in the COVID-19 Era--Science-based Risk Assessments and Mitigation Strategies on the Ground and in the Air: A Workshop

Completed

A two-day workshop hosted by the Aeronautics and Space Engineering Board of the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine will consider science-based COVID-19 risk assessments and address best-practice strategies to mitigate transmission during commercial air travel. The workshop will consider managing transmission risks from the departure airport entrance to the destination airport exit for both passengers and employees. The workshop will include panel discussions with a broad range of experts on understanding and preventing viral spread and identifying research to address knowledge gaps.

Recordings and presentations from the workshop can be found on the event page.
