A planning committee of the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine will organize and conduct a public workshop to examine equity in access to high-quality diagnosis to reduce health disparities, supported by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality. Workshop participants will consider the current scientific landscape and research opportunities for improving equitable diagnosis within the U.S. health care system, with emphasis on populations at greatest risk of harm from diagnostic errors.
