An ad hoc committee, in collaboration with representatives of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS) and the Centre Nationnal de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS), and the Egyptian Bibliotheca Alexandria (BA), will organize a series of workshops to intensify analyses of selected aspects of the roots and trajectories of violent extremism. At each workshop, experts from the participating countries will provide fresh insights on trends and dangers associated with violent extremism, while identifying areas of research and analysis that are of global interest.
