State of the Science and Future Needs
Requested by Congress in P.L. 116-260, the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2021, this new report from the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine provides a landscape analysis of current and future use of nonhuman primates in National Institutes of Health supported biomedical research, as well as opportunities for new approach methodologies to complement or reduce reliance on nonhuman primate models. This report provides the committee findings and conclusions.
