Frontiers Planet Prize Names 25 National Champions for 2026

Announcement

Amir AghaKouchak has been named the U.S. National Champion for the 2026 Frontiers Planet Prize in recognition of his work on the monitoring and mitigation of extreme hydrological conditions. The prize celebrates scientific breakthroughs offering scalable, evidence-based solutions in the sustainability space. The National Academies led the review and recommendation of U.S. nominees for the prize.
