Decadal Survey for Solar and Space Physics (Heliophysics) 2024-2033

Completed

Groundbreaking advances in solar and space physics have provided key insights into the inner workings of the heliosphere, the vast protective bubble formed by the solar wind that extends from the Sun to the outer fringes of the solar system.
This study sets forth a comprehensive science vision to advance and expand the frontiers of solar and space physics for the next decade. The report’s prioritized research strategy aims to coordinate new and existing space missions, ground-based instruments and facilities, and modeling and simulation to achieve broader science goals in the field, while ensuring a thriving research community.
