This 2-day public workshop explored the state of the science on a range of topics related to nutrition during pregnancy and lactation.

Description

An ad hoc planning committee of the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine will plan and implement a two day workshop that will explore the state of the science on nutrients, dietary patterns, nutritional supplements, and other nutrition-based topics relevant to pregnancy and lactation. The workshop topics will include discussion of equity in access to nutritional care for women of childbearing age. The planning committee will develop the agenda for the workshop, select and invite speakers and discussants, and moderate the discussions. A proceedings and brief proceedings of the presentations and discussions at the workshop will be prepared by a designated rapporteur in accordance with institutional guidelines.
