Strategies for Scaling Tested and Effective Family-Focused Preventive Interventions to Promote Children’s Cognitive, Affective, and Behavioral Health: A Workshop

Completed

On April 1-2, the Forum held a public workshop that featured presentations on and discussion of how to provide effective family-focused interventions at sufficient scale and reach to reduce the incidence and prevalence of negative cognitive, affective, and behavioral outcomes among youth in the United States.

Description

An ad hoc committee will plan and conduct an interactive public workshop featuring presentations and discussion of family-focused interventions to promote children's cognitive, affective, and behavioral health, including successes and failures in scaling, as well as barriers to implementation. The committee will identify specific topics to be addressed, develop the agenda, select and invite speakers and other participants, and moderate the discussions. A brief individually-authored workshop summary, in addition to a full-length workshop summary, of the presentations and discussions at the workshop will be prepared by a designated rapporteur in accordance with institutional guidelines.
