The National Academies and Chinese Academy of Sciences convened a series of three public workshops to promote scientific cooperation between China and the United States on sustainability issues. The first workshop on sustainability and biodiversity was held in July 2022, the second workshop on planetary health and sustainability took place in June 2023, and the third workshop on food systems and sustainability was held on November 21-22, 2024.
