The Committee on Ethical, Legal, and Regulatory Issues Associated with Neural Chimeras and Organoids released its report, The Emerging Field of Human Neural Organoids, Transplants, and Chimeras: Science, Ethics, and Governance, at this public webinar. The report examines the scientific, ethical and regulatory issues associated with neural chimeras and neural organoid research and offers findings for scientists, clinicians, regulators, and the general public as they consider how to balance the value of this research with the ethical concerns it raises.

A study committee developed the report under the leadership of Bernard Lo (Professor Emeritus, University of California San Francisco and President and CEO Emeritus, The Greenwall Foundation) and Joshua R. Sanes (Jeff C. Tarr Professor of Molecular and Cellular Biology and Paul J. Finnegan Family Director, Center for Brain Science, Harvard University).
