TOOL F

Emergency Communications Plan Template

This Emergency Communications Plan template is meant to be complementary to plans already in place and is meant only to provide supplemental information that may be missing. It should in no way override any required standards or templates currently in place. Please review the Communications and Collaboration Guidelines document for best practices and resources for communicating and collaborating with stakeholders before, during, and after an incident.

Date of Last Update: mm/dd/yyyy

Introduction

This Emergency Communications Plan is separated into sections based on the different stakeholders’ airport personnel will coordinate with regularly and during emergencies. Each section includes a table for airports to fill in relevant personnel titles, names, responsibilities, and contact information. It is recommended that the contacts are reviewed and updated at a minimum, quarterly or as needed. The communications plan should be accessible to all staff, and a copy should be kept with the airport sponsor. If possible, publish a digital copy of the plan on a private website that staff can access.

Review the following sections and list any additional stakeholder groups that may apply to your airport.
