PART I

Section 106 Process and Steps in Making Findings of No Effect and No Adverse Effect

The results of the online survey and follow-up interviews demonstrated that the ability to make successful and defensible findings of No Effect and No Adverse Effect begins in the early steps of the Section 106 process, starting with initiating the process. This section provides a brief overview, and a reminder for experienced practitioners, of the steps in the Section 106 process as laid out in the regulations at 36 CFR Part 800.
