An ad hoc committee will plan and conduct a one-day public workshop that will feature invited presentations and discussion of health literacy and healthy aging. Potential areas of focus include the changing health needs of older adults, chronic disease and medication management, health communication challenges for older adults, health literacy needs and challenges for caregivers, and other topics related to health literacy for older people.
The committee will define the specific topics to be addressed, develop the agenda, and select and invite speakers and other participants. A proceedings of the workshop will be prepared by a designated rapporteur in accordance with institutional guidelines.
