An ad hoc steering committee will conduct a 1.5-day workshop to identify and discuss the skillsets for individuals who seek to gain entry into forensic science careers. This will include the identification of human factors variables (cognitive and perceptual skills, decision making abilities, comfort level with technology, etc.), the implications of these variables for education and training of personnel, and their generalizability to the assessment of experienced staff.
