Certified Technicians and Authorized Testers
We use ‘Certified’ in most instances, but we do have a small subset of inspectors who are ‘Qualified.’ This is limited to seasonal interns, or inspectors who perform very limited activity in a discipline. Ex.: a bridge inspector would be Certified in concrete testing and inspection but may be Qualified to take an occasional asphalt mix sample if a Certified paving inspector is unavailable.
