Traumatic Brain Injury:
A Roadmap for Accelerating Progress
This new report from the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine, examines the current landscape of basic, translational, and clinical traumatic brain injury (TBI) research and identifies gaps and opportunities to accelerate research progress and improve care with a focus on the biological, psychological, sociological, and ecological impacts. This report calls not merely for improvement, but for a transformation of attitudes, understanding, investments, and care systems for TBI.
These briefings were for members of Congress and congressional staff only. The report was publicly released on February 1, 2022 and can be found, in its entirety, on the Web site of the National Academies Press.
