TRB Webinar: Cloud Computing for Next Generation Traffic Management Systems

October 25, 2023

3:00 PM - 4:30 PM (EDT)

Past

Cloud computing is changing how agencies plan, procure, implement, operate, and maintain solutions and services for Transportation Systems Management and Operations (TSMO). Agencies are rethinking the need to acquire and manage licensed software and provide hands-on support for application deployment, operations, and maintenance. TRB hosted a webinar on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 from 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM Eastern that shared procurement, migration strategy, security, and new analytics and services related to cloud computing.

This webinar was a follow on to the TRB 2023 Annual Meeting Workshop 1039: Moving Transportation System Management and Operations to the Cloud: What You Need to Know and aligned with NCHRP Research Report 952: Guidebook for Managing Data from Emerging Technologies for Transportation.

This webinar was sponsored by TRB’s National Cooperative Highway Research Program and the Standing Technical Committees on Freeway Operations, Managed Lanes, and Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Computing Applications.

The slides are linked in the meeting materials. View the recorded webinar below.
