Join us May 9-10, 2024, for two hybrid open sessions. On May 9th, from 10am-11:15am PST and 1pm-3pm PT, the committee will hear about the history and current context behind the lack of diversity in U.S. ocean studies, followed by a workshop centered around the exploration of narratives and lived experiences. On May 10th, from 9am-12pm PT, the committee will hear different perspectives on the barriers and support systems in ocean studies, such as those experienced by veterans and by persons with disabilities. Members of the public are welcome and encouraged to register and attend these open sessions. We hope to see you there!
