As of 2016, the Gulf Research Program has awarded over $27 million to researchers, communities, and organizations to enhance the health and resilience of Gulf communities that are adversely impacted by social, environmental and economic stressors.

The Thriving Communities Webinar Series celebrates science, the research process, and findings from years of study and analysis. Each event showcases study directors and their teams as they take the audience on a journey through their research projects, outcomes and next steps. The Thriving Communities Webinar Series explores cutting edge research on community health and resilience, highlighting new opportunities for effective solutions.

Description

The Thriving Communities Webinar Series hosts Gulf Research Program grant recipients to discuss their project and impacts. Grantees have been awarded Thriving Communities grants which focus on health, well-being, and community resilience research.

Thriving Communities Grants are supported by the Gulf Research Program Settlement Funds and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.
