An ad hoc committee will plan and conduct a one-day public workshop that will feature invited presentations and discussion of community-based health literacy interventions. Potential areas of focus include the range of community-based health literacy interventions that currently exist, research related to community-based health literacy interventions, and best practices in community-based health literacy interventions. The workshop will also include the presentation of a commissioned paper on community-based health literacy interventions. The committee will define the specific topics to be addressed, develop the agenda, and select and invite speakers and other participants. A proceedings of the workshop will be prepared by a designated rapporteur in accordance with institutional guidelines.
