Description

An ad hoc committee will plan and conduct a one-day public workshop on health literacy and precision medicine. The workshop will feature invited presentations and discussions on topics which may include an overview of precision medicine and its potential; relevance of health literacy to success of precision medicine efforts; and perspectives and understanding of different groups, for example, health care providers, consumers, and insurers. The committee will define the specific topics to be addressed, develop the agenda, select and invite speakers and other participants, and moderate the discussions. A brief workshop summary and a summary of the presentations and discussions at the workshop will be prepared by designated rapporteurs in accordance with institutional guidelines.
