This workshop featured discussions and presentations to understand how social network thinking will evolve in the next ten years. Advances in combininb social network thinking with new types of data and other lines of research will be considered. Participants explored what knowledge gains can be made from a multi-level network analysis approach and what research investments are needed.

Description
An ad-hoc committee will plan and conduct a one-day public workshop. The workshop will feature invited presentations and discussions to understand how network thinking will evolve and transform the intelligence community in the next ten years. The committee will plan and organize the workshop, select speakers and discussants, and moderate the discussions at the workshop. The workshop will be part of a set of workshops designed to gather information for the Decadal Survey of Social and Behavioral Sciences for Applications to National Security. Proceedings of the workshop will be prepared by a designated rapporteur in accordance with institutional guidelines.
