Description
A planning committee of the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine will organize and convene a public workshop to support constituent engagement and implementation of recommendations from the “Improving the Health and Well-being of Children and Youth through Health Care System Transformation” consensus study. The meeting will focus on innovations that can be made in the child and adolescent health care system to improve the health and well-being of children youth, and families, with attention to health promotion and resiliency as well as disease prevention. Presentations may consider key levers of change for innovation and for enhancing interaction with other child- and family-serving systems, promising practices and policies incorporating the lived experience of underserved youth and families, gaps in current payment models, innovations in workforce development, and promising policies to enhance integration across data systems serving youth and families.
The planning committee will develop the agenda, identify meeting objectives, and select appropriate participants. A proceedings-in-brief will be prepared by a staff member in accordance with institutional guidelines.
