Description
An ad hoc planning committee will be appointed to organize a one and one-half day symposium to review the origin and history, policy influence and future directions of the Food and Nutrition Board (FNB). Topics to be addressed in the symposium will focus on three main areas relevant to the board and its mission.
- A timeline and history of the National Academies and the FNB;
- Accomplishments and impact of FNB reports and activities; and
- Participant engagement and a panel discussion focusing on future directions for the board.
A proceedings of the symposium presentations and discussions will be prepared by a designated rapporteur in accordance with institutional guidelines.
